Urbansketching in Washington DC
My sisters and I walked around Washington DC on a sisters’ trip. It was hot but I was able to get some sketches done!
I took a red-eye flight so I waited for my sisters for a while at the airpot. I did a sketch at the airport.
There’s a cute neighborhood near the hotel we stayed at, so I went out and did a sketch.
This is a sketch of the capitol building. My sisters went inside while I was sketching outside. It was very hot so I only did part of it.
I have always wanted to visit the Library of Congress since I was a library school student. I stood on the sidewalk across from the Library of Congress to sketch this. It was so hot!
This was the Gallery of Art. I did a closeup one and then one I sketched from across the street. My sister waited so patiently for me and even held the umbrella for me because it was so hot!!! All these sketches were done in 15-20 mins or less.
This was the DC chinatown. It was raining so I only sketched part of it and then colored on the flight home.
